WEST HIGHLAND WHITE TERRIER

The Breed Standard

As the name suggests, this dog belongs to the Terrier Group and is one of the most popular
of the Terrier breeds. A small dog with a cheerful, outgoing personality, makes an ideal companion and playmate for the young, as he is full of fun and almost tireless.

This dog is always ready for a walk, in any weather.
He is small enough to pick up and take anywhere.
He is the right size for a house or flat and really is an all-purpose pet.

This breed has a harsh coat needing regular brushing and combing and it is as well to have him trimmed professionally two or three times a year in order to keep his smart appearance.

The height at the withers is approx 28cm (11in)
