The Smooth Collie obviously differs from its Rough Collie relative in that its length of coat is short and flat with a harsh texture on a dense undercoat. It should have a disposition that is gay and friendly and show no sign of being nervous or aggressive. The Smooth Collie stands with dignity and should be intelligent, alert and active and should also give the appearance of a working capability.
