This breed in the Hound Group is delightful, charming and dainty. The dog loves human company and is very happy to be either in cottages, houses or castles. As his coat is short and fine then it is very easy to get him clean and tidy in a very short time when returning home from a country walk in the winter. This breed is light enough to be picked up should this be necessary but on the other hand the Whippet is quite able to spend a whole day working as he has a tremendous turn of speed over short distances. He is an ideal companion and highly adaptable in both domestic and sporting surroundings.

Size: Dogs - 18.5 to 20 inches. Bitches - 17 - 18.5 inches.
