The Breed Standard

The Cocker Spaniel is the most popular of the Spaniel family. He is an active, happy small dog who quickly adapts himself quickly to his surroundings. The Cocker is very intelligent and affectionate and loves to forage around the fields and hedgerows. He loves to retrieve and can often be found around the house with a toy or slipper in his mouth while his tail waggs furiously waiting for praise. This breed is easy to train, his main aim in life is to please his owner. He is a busy little dog who enjoys plenty of exercise and thrives on human companionship.

Height and Weight.
Dogs - approximately 15.5 - 16 inches. Bitches 15.5 inches
Weight 28 - 32 lbs
Colour - can be various but in self- colours no white is allowed except on the chest
